Meet the Doctor
Early Life and Education
Angel Lamas was born in Cuba, where his medical journey began. He excelled academically, graduating with honors in 2002 and receiving the “Golden Title” and “Outstanding Performance Student” awards. In 2004, he completed a specialty in Family Medicine, followed by fellowships in Emergency Medicine and Ophthalmology.

International Medical Service
Angel’s passion for helping others led him to the mountains of Honduras, providing essential medical care to indigenous populations. He then worked as a doctor and emergency physician in Venezuela, gaining invaluable experience.

Transition to the United States In 2010
Angel moved to the U.S. and worked various jobs while studying for his medical licensing exams. His perseverance paid off when he began his medical residency in Texas in 2015, where he served as Chief Resident and graduated in 2018. He further trained in hyperbaric medicine and wound care in San Antonio, Texas.

Professional Achievements
Angel has contributed to the medical community, including collaborating on the book “Boards and Wards, 6th Edition,” reflecting his dedication to medical education.

Current Practice and Personal Life
Since 2018, Angel has worked as a primary care physician in Miami, demonstrating his dedication to patient care. Outside of work, he enjoys various interests, but his primary joy comes from helping his patients and improving their lives. Angel’s journey from Cuba to the U.S. showcases his commitment and resilience, making him a respected figure in the medical community.
